To lead and support the development and implementation of HR policy across all areas of the organisation including improving performance, maximising attendance and providing effective management of change.
Activities & Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Policy
o Receive inputs from CEO & HODs with respect to business plan, areas of improvement, attention, gaps and business challenges that need to be addressed
o Define HR strategy and develop HR organization structure accordingly.
o Periodic evaluation to measure HR efficiency based on key deliverable metrics.
o Analyze past spends on HR.
o Determine budget for recruitment, employee welfare, training & development, facilities and rewards and recognition.
o Monitor actual spend v/s the budget.
o Develop/ review staff forecasting based on business plan.
o Review recruitment policy, sourcing strategies, selection mechanism and roles for outsourcing.
o Design & develop capability framework and job description for unique roles.
Compensation & Benefits
o Analyze the business plan and growth prospects.
o Understand the company philosophy, nature of jobs and current position of ZHL.
o Identify the pay components as per grades/ levels and job hierarchy and develop/ review overall compensation policy.
o Get inputs on number of promotions and bonus planned for the year.
o Design performance linked pay structure for critical roles.
o Review and communicate salary planning guidelines.
Rewards & Recognition
o Design and review framework for rewards and recognition schemes.
o Approve budgets as per policy.
o Communicate guidelines to all Regional Head HR.
Training & Development
o Develop/ Review Training and Development policy consisting of strategies, objectives and plan
o Develop budgets.
o Circulate the listed training activities to all functional HODs.
o Identify and source external agents for providing customized training inputs with commercial proposals.
Activities & Responsibilities
Performance Management System
o Communicate performance management philosophy, structure, programs and tools.
o Assist individual departments to develop departmental targets at corporate.
o Finalize/ approve the format for PMS based on previous year feedback.
o Define periods & timelines for PMS.
o Resolve queries (if any).
o Ensure achievement of goals by end of the year.
o Provide feedback to all departments on expected level of performance.
o Ensure conduct of Annual Performance Review, as per timeline.
o Benchmark best practices in Employee Welfare to develop/ review employee welfare strategies and policies.
o Allocate budgets for Employee Welfare activities.
o List and communicate the objectives of the activities to all HODs.
o Facilitate communication on Health and safety Guidelines (Medical Camps) to all employees.
o Ensure welfare activities are conducted as per schedule.
o Generate the feedback report/ Grievance Report and forward the report to CEO.
o Conduct Exit Interview employees who have submitted their resignation.
o Counsel key employees who have submitted their resignation.
o Start disciplinary actions against key employees after receiving complaints and dissatisfaction report.
o Ensure commercial authority and controls are disabled and inform Finance.
o Ensure full and final settlement is paid.
Manage Statutory Compliance
o Define statutory and legal compliance.
o Design compliance manual & define checklist for compliance.
o Ensure compliance for statutory and legislative requirements.
o Ensure statutory deductions from employee salary as per norms.
o Advice on strategic IR, handling unions.
o Advice on union negotiations and signing settlements.
o Represent management before labour commissioner.
o Co-ordinate with company advocates in court matters.
o Liaisioning with government departments.
o To keep the smooth relations with union.
o To handle legal issues.
Experience Skills & Competencies
Post Graduate / MBA.
Min 12 years of relevant experience.
Experience in healthcare, retail industry preferred.
Strategic, analytical & logical thinking.
Good command over English & regional language, both written & verbal.
